Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Or “out of sight, out of mind”? The latter idiom seemed to be in play this Tuesday, as Fox’s Glee and New Girl both returned from their three-week X Factor/baseball-induced hiatus to markedly lower numbers

I'd like to think this would send a message that Glee is sucking this season, and this getting back to basics promise has not occurred, but I think it's just that viewers are sick of Glee. (I think it's probably the hiatus, too, however, b/c New Girl was doing well before the break, unlike Glee.)
