Here in Germany, lockdown-lite has been extended to Jan and honestly, they should enforce a proper lockdown. And I really hope they don't allow the Christmas amnesty because I'm sure there will be an explosion of cases afterwards.
People are supposed to wear masks in public spaces like parks but honestly, when I go walking, I'm usually one of the only people wearing one :/
In LA, the Mayor announced a return to stay-at-home orders with "essential" activities exempted, and the list of "essential" activities is NINE PAGES LONG. The TLDR version was basically don't leave your house unless you have a clear intention of going somewhere. Then the CA Governor (WHO WAS CAUGHT AT A BIRTHDAY PARTY INSIDE A 3-STAR MICHELIN RESTAURANT A FEW WEEKS AGO) was like, hey guys, if the ICU availability in your region dips below a pre-determined threshold, no more hair salons for three weeks! *eyeroll* I'm so over this. Thankfully, most folks here wear face coverings, so that helps keep my sanity.
