How is the storm going? Interesting news about Man City. It's good that UEFA dares to punish them but I do really wonder if it will hold up in the end. Haven't we seen a lot of symbolic punishments too?
The storm's been hellish. But it's calming down around my way (skies still leaden, but there isn't the strong wind or almost horizontal rain).
Hmm, I think UEFAs charge against Man City is a shot across the bows (a symbolic warning) to bigger clubs with more history. But I think Man City, they're looking to cite other more 'historic' clubs having the same fludity of money and exploiting FFP. So it's going to run and run, I think.
Man City have been fined by UEFA before, but this is the first time they've had sanctions pushed upon them.
I don't think so, actually. They've been tied up and called out with various things over the years. Also, it's a shot across the bows by UEFA to make an example out of city so that the rest of the bigger clubs who are doing the same dodgy things (Juventus, ppl are looking at you) to shape up sharpish.
