Not that I expected them no to loose before the match.
But during I actually thought it would work out.
Sigh, being a Schalke fan has been terrible for 1,5 years now.
(Not so much because of loosing, more because their Bundeslige matches are shitty, boring and often pretty much unwatchable. I've wasted so much time on terrible matches.)
I think it just happens, tbhjazzypomFebruary 21 2019, 11:24:12 UTC
In the sense that you stop fighting to keep love there, and just... let it go. From what I've seen of people who drifted from a particular team to their rivals, what kick started the drift was the terrible run of games, and that the other team seemed to be having a lot more fun. And as a result, their players having fun kinda kickstarted their love the game again. So... you might want to follow another team? Not go full out, but look at their style, see if you like the coach, the players, the ethos of the team and dip a toe in

You could probably start looking at which clubs you might like in the second tier? So it's not necessarily in the same league as your First Club, and there's enough distance for you to cheer a team on, but not feeling as if you're cheating on Your First Club? In England, because of the the fact that PL matches can be really expensive, and the PL can be mindnumbing at times, the lower leagues from EPL to regional teams do get a healthy look in here, because people have their PL team and their 'local' or 'smaller' team that they follow.
Right now, the decline in quality is just so disheartening. We lost so many good players over the last years. The team even dealt with the losses amazingly for a long time. But right now it just gets more and more frustrating. That's just the law of diminishing returns though. There's only so much you can mine for, before there's not enough talent to reach for. Especially since out of 40 academy kids you might get 5 who have the talent and drive to hit the big time

(I'm not decided I want to actually. But it would free up a lot of time...)
