I read some/part of his statement and all I could think was that there is no way in hell I would ever take a picture with Trump so I couldn't see where he was coming from at all with that whole thing about respecting the office. Fuck that. You don't have to respect the position if the person in said position isn't respecting it themselves.

Even so, Oezil shouldn't have to deal with any racist shit from people.

It was indeed and he really is trying to play the victim card by acting like it's not that big deal.

That said, he is completely right about the racism and being made a scapegoat for the DfB's and the team's failings.
