And Italy in 2010 though it's highly unlikely.

I'm crying for you, Argentina. Though it's all your own fault, it's still criminal that You Know Who may not be there.

Auf gehts Deutchland! Now just stay healthy.... hahahaha. 👌

OP, thanks for reminding me to take the Zyrtec! *achoo*!

Lol @ my hometown Baltimore being on the WC list for 2026, was it? Everyone watch your wallets & phones....

Before long qualifying as hosts will be the only way into the WC. U.S. soccer has gone backwards by a decade and most of it is Bruce using mostly old, washed-up MLS players and Klinsmann experimenting during WCQ. Then again, Pulisic alone won't win. :/

For two weeks in the year (April and October) I am of no use to anyone.

If the bid is accepted, you guys better take it easy with the air fresheners, OK?

Commiserations to you, Jazzy. I had a lousy migraine today and ended up taking off from work :( Now, I'm just looking online for a good face cream for my mother, lol.

Heynckes to Bayern is official.

Watching Argentina trying to qualify has been a wild journey. CONMEBOL quallies are much more entertaining than the Euro ones.

This Buzzfeed piece on Breibart/Milo/Nazis/Gamergate is a must read:

https://www.buzzfeed.com/josephbernstein/heres-how-breitbart-and-milo-smuggled-white-nationalism

It shows how shitty liberal people in the media pander to these arseholes which explains all the US media's fluff pieces about these Neo Nazis.

And one of the guys mentioned, David Auerbach, said he apologised to Zoe Quinn (Gamergate victim), she said that was bullshit, and of course he blocked her.

That Buzzfeed article and the NY Times expose on Harvey Weinstein were trending for hours yesterday across different social platforms. This piece from the Stranger provides an account on white nationalist ideologies in Seattle's tech community. This particular bit was humorous yet unsurprising:

I was never more aware that I was dealing with Seattle racists than when it came time for questions and people were asking the same kind of self-righteous, rambling, statement-questions you encounter at Town Hall. One of the questions came from an East Indian-Canadian. I don’t remember what he asked because I was too busy sharing confused looks with the Neo-Nazis. Right guys? WTF?

At the break, I asked the questioner if being brown-skinned ever interferes with being a white separatist. It led to a lengthy conversation that made no sense, and I was glad when the break ended to get back to the speeches.

LOL.

The Harvey Weinstein article was some good stuff and his statement was so obnoxious. I hear Ronan Farrow's working on piece on him for The New Yorker, hoping it's full of juicy details.

Find it curious that none of the articles I've come upon discussing the Weinstein fallout make any reference to Gretchen Mol. Here, rumors surrounding Weinstein and his behavior towards Gretchen Mol have made the rounds for YEARS.
