It's common knowledge that crowd at the Bernabeu aren't exactly smart.

Someone correct me, but I believe Espanyol are traditionally a pro-Madrid club.

Once a year I think the coaches meet and do photo ops and there's a respect between both clubs on that day. But yeah, that was not the time. My friend in Barcelona got caught up in the violence yesterday. She wasn't for independence before the whole heavy handedness of the Spanish government (she got turned away from voting by armed policemen) but she is now.

Franco's still dead but his legacy lives on. The violent police response by Madrid made Spain lose Catalonia. Over 800 were injured. Yes, Espanyol is the pro-Spanish counterpart to Barça.

God damn it, not Tom Petty. As if today couldn't get any shittier. Catching the video for "Mary Jane's Last Dance" on MTV is one of my earliest and fondest memories. Pretty sure that grim piece of art has affected me in more ways than I know.
