What do you think about Giggs comment?
You can't have it both ways, buying mercenaries at top dollar and then expecting them to pledge their troth to the club.I It's just a job to them, and they are always keeping an eye out for the other transfer. This is why you need strong academy lads in the side, to pass on what the shirt means, but there's not so much of that in English football anymore. The class of '92 need to let a lot of comforts that they've grown up with go.

I've been saying that Man United should have gotten in a DOF after Sir Alex Ferguson retired, because himself and his braintrust oversaw a LOT of stuff with that club. When he appointed Moyes (why? Even then I was perplexed, because Moyes was good for Everton, a cautious, defensive sort of style that worked for the club, but never a Man United coach) I thought that was a bad move.
Man United should just do what Bayern or Seville have done to great success; get a DOF, as well as good scouts and good planning.
Manchester United are too big and too expensive to be lurching from manager to manager. Also, with the Glazers taking money from the club, it might be in danger of going the way of Valencia if they're not careful.
