She lied about being abused but was supposedly the abuser ? I don't follow the USWNT because the fandom is rabid, and have some strange views re: USWNT versus the rest of women's football, so...

Minnesota United will join MLS in 2017; will retain name Minnesota United FC and logo

I know most of y'all haven't been following, but this is kind of a Big Deal. There were a lot of rumours that MLS would require a name change, and that idea really wasn't sitting well with supporters -- in large part because unlike DC and Atlanta, the 'United' bit of Minnesota United is a reference to the team's history, and it seems awfully shitty/unfair/what-have-you to just erase that.

Also I'm glad that they're not changing the logo because I'm knitting my mum a blanket out of it and I would have to have to stop halfway through. (where's that crying-laughing emoji???)
