It just registered to me yesterday that the football stadiums selected to host the Olympics events aren't centered in and around Rio. The USWNT played in Manaus yesterday, a city that became infamous during the World Cup for its sweltering humidity, ginormous bugs, and being within proximity of the Amazon.

good point, i didn't really consider that. i was reading an article earlier where it was said that the IOC (or whoever) wont sell tickets cheaply last-minute to locals

They said the team (Germany) was dead tired in the match against South Korea. Jet lag and all that.
