Ooh, that's not a flattering photo of baby Jerome. I spot Poldi and Gündo but I can't, for the life of me, recognize the other two. Maybe Khedira is the one in glasses? o_O
Actually the kid below Poldi could pass for Robert Huth.
So, you're all and out a Spurs fan, eh Jazzy? Figures, since there's too much Eric Dier in this post XP

What bullshit. These Tumblr kids are so stupid. Of course, Bayern buys from their rivals, but someone should ask these kids which youth academy the Troll, Lahm and Basti among others, come from.

As in, the better players of our NT are Spurs players at the mo. Once the season starts again, I'm all up in my colours, but once its the English NT, I'll stan for the shirt. Right now, the LFC players for England are in a strange holding pattern for reasons too long to type on my phone.
Besides, I do find Dier's story pretty interesting, considering the cossetted experience of the average English premier league player. There's this English lad that's plying his trade in Ligue 1 that has a story similar to Eric Dier .. Taylor Moore? He plays for Lens and is supposedly being tracked by the FA and the rest of it. I wish more English players would go abroad and play instead of sitting on a bench and ride the pine (looking at you, all of Chelsea's grads).
I have a soft spot for Portugal since it was the first European country I visited and spent some time in!

There's one kid from some PL team who's gone to play for Gladbach but I can't think of anyone else playing abroad either. It's funny how it's the opposite with foreign players. Karius was in the Man City youth team for a couple of years. Ron-Robert Zieler, the ex-Hannover GK, was with Man Utd's youth academy for many years. Plus, you have the assortment of guys from the Arsenal and Liverpool academies playing all over Europe.

It's interesting, especially since if a foreign club comes in for a local academy talent, they can get them for peanuts compared to an English club. For instance, Jordan Rossiter (Liverpool academy talent) left Liverpool for Ranger and LFC only got £250k for it. When LFC bought Danny Ings from Burnley, it went to tribunal and the club had to pay £8 million for him!
But for real, when you read the wages the academy players at clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City get, it's insane. You read about parents of children in the Chelsea academy who would rather their kid stay there than go out to a League 1 club and play because their darlings are getting something stupid like... £10k a week?!
yeah that's the newest rumor. he did play under Tuchel for two seasons so maybe. i'm not sure we'd want to pay Wolfsburg as much as they'd want for him but who knows
