I didn't see this in the last round-up post so I'll mention this here.

Some idiot at Camp Nou thought it would be ~cool~ to shout out a homophobic slur against Cris in a moment of silence dedicated to a legend of THEIR club. I don't suppose Cruyff would've wanted this.

There's so much in-fighting going on with US Soccer (both the association and the fandom), it's a mess. The controversial thing I know about Abby Wambach is that she criticized Klinsi for bringing in foreign-born players.

Seriously, at the time when they are celebrating the man that made them great that's what they do?

Hah you know more about Abby Wambach than I do. Thanks for the link.

The Panama papers are something. No wonder Messi is doing it. It's maximising your fortune or something? Quite sad though, after all they drive roads, bring their kids to school and need doctors. It's a shame the people that have so much, don't invest more in other people's well being. Messi could easily spend his wages on food for the refugees on some Greek island for example and he wouldn't notice a single thing missing in his life.
I don't really want to push politics here, but God damn it EU, you should be ashamed, pushing the refugees back to Turkey. It's treating them worse than animals.

So there are 6 games left to play? 4 wins and the title is theirs? Don't write off Spurs just yet but yeah they needed that win against Liverpool.

Drunk driving is so rage inducing. You literally put other people at risk. Why do that? Just pay for a taxi.

I have a friend whose entire family (parents, little brother and grandmother) was wiped out by a drunk driver when he was six (my friend wasn't in the car). He grew up with other relatives, and they gave him a good life but he still wonders sometimes what might have been. I don't understand how anybody could risk having that on their conscience. Like you say, just call a damn cab.

With you on the Panama Papers and the refugee thing.

The full Higuain scene here. He's lost it. When you start pushing your own team's staff...

Juve made a video to commemorate Buffon's 973 minutes without letting in a goal. It's 973 minutes long.

LMAO. As much as I love Buffon, I don't think I'll be watching even a fraction of that!

Jack Wilshere just cannot seem to stay out of trouble off the pitch. And has glass ankles on the pitch, and hasn't played in I don't know how many months, but he's still a top pick for Hodgson?

Hodgson is sticking by Wilshire, to the point of saying that Eric Dier and Danny Drinkwater will have to come out of 'the shadows' because Wilshire was a reason why England got to the Euros with his performances. Strangely, Arsene Wenger has been quite encouraging re: Jack Wilshire getting on the side, because it's hoped that will be a boost to him or summat ( ... )

Totally with you, especially on taking unfit players to major tournaments. I'm having flashbacks to the Capello era and Ledley King having to be subbed off halfway through the first group game, never to reappear.

He plays well for England and has a good command of the midfield, which is why Hodgson picks him. His absence was felt in the match against Netherlands. But his off-pitch behavior.... :/
