Has the row between M.I.A. and PSG been discussed yet around here? I read the letter from PSG's legal team and I was just laughing and shaking my head. Why are they so extra? lmao. idk why they wouldn't want to be associated with a video that's pro-refugees (financial interests most likely because of the Emirates logo being modified) but go awf I guess.
Probably because PSG is owned by the Qatar Investment Authority and Qatar has done absolutely nothing for refugees, supported various extremist groups and is even rumored to be funding IS.
I'm stretching it here, but this could be reason. Plus, they want to squeeze cash out of people.
sebastian is NNNNNNNNNNNNGH. he barely experienced his first season with LA last year but it was pretty well - he scored eight times in twenty appearances i believe? he's so OTT on insta though, i refuse to believe that he's anything but another showoff/fuckboy soccer player off the field. i don't care about it so much as long as he proves his worth and does well for us next season. but so far, he looks promising.
the hat-trick queen and back-to-back olympic gold medal match scorer carli got a little emotional as she accepted her award too
oh no, the bitterness is real because i'm bitter as well and i'm a die hard USWNT fan. her winning the WWC with this squad only reiterates that pia & tom both did a remarkable job in leaving a rather good and stable foundation of players - and it's obvious she is really reaching for things that pia & tom had been building since 2008. i find her rather unremarkable and the US squad really did well in the WWC because they wanted it SO bad, all of our publications and media outlets were gunning for them to bring it home for "revenge" (so tacky), and ellis really had NO idea who to rotate, sub, or start except the favorites and/or popular players
( ... )
specially with her demanding that the us women players come and play in the nwsl. it's why christen came back to wither away in chicago after killing it with göteborg & tyresö and now why she's basically forced lindsay to leave PSG and come to the nwsl - there's a good article floating around how ellis basically discourages potential us players from playing abroad.
Wha.... why?
England has that with rugby- in that if you want to be called up for selection, you have to play in England, but the wages and competition are supposed to be better in France, so our best players aren't necessarily playing for the English NT and we got kicked out of the World Cup in the first round! :S
I have read that the US soccer national teams do want their players to be local. I guess it helps in terms of travel and the football season but... surely having your players playing in foreign countries and getting new experiences and exposure can't be all that bad? What is Ellis playing at?
Liverpool have got Steven Caulker on loan in time for the match against Arsenal. R/soccer has all but dismissed him. I fully expect him and the entire Liverpool defence to have an excellent game against us thanks to Kloppo's magical motivation powers.
There are also rumors about Neven and Joel Matip from Schalke coming to Liverpool in the summer.

Yeah. She has an auto-immune disease hasn't she? I guess that means she could stay off the corticosteroids.
I'm not a big fan of the black eye shadow.
