Rumor had it that he would have been out by October 17th and a caretaker would have been in his case. I expected him to hang around until Christmas, because he spent £60 million this year so far? But too much smoke was streaming from that chimney, and word has it that he would have been out last December but Ian Ayre (boo) defended him because Ayre liked him. He should have been sacked at the 6-1 defeat, last season. It has been eight games too late, in my opinion.

The media has been carrying water for Rodgers because he was the only British manager in a top six team, but not even them could cover his failings. Then on top of that, Brendan Rodgers then turned against the media who've been covering for him at this time!

The british media is full of Klopp articles today i see. They'll probably be very disappointed if they get anybody other than him LOL, anything to sell papers, tbh. But there must be a reason why they got rid of Rodgers at this time. They must have bead on someone who's waiting in the wings. I'm just glad to see the ( ... )

True, but they could also have gotten Ancelotti

it seems like nothing's final yet in either case though, and, well it's internationals week so there's time to draw this out xD

Nooo not Ancelotti jazzypom October 5 2015, 14:34:49 UTC
Supposedly his children are in Canada and settled over there, so he'll be bicoastal for some time. In addition, I think after Spain, he won't be willing to come back to dreary England, lol. We'll see, but Rodgers --- I'm just interested to hear the stories filtering out re; the dramas after he's gone, tbh.

Today's Sun, of all papers, has a big headline, "KLOPP TO KOP" on the front page with a funny picture of Kloppo. I mean, there hasn't been any confirmation but they're already at it.

On MOTD2 last night, Shearer said that Andre Ayew had offered himself to Liverpool during the summer but was rejected, so he joined Swansea on a free. Between this and losing out in Alexis (who said that Grandpère and guaranteed CL every year were the big draws for him), Brendan has made some terrible decisions.

Dortmund are dead to me.

Rodgers is ... an embarrassment jazzypom October 5 2015, 13:11:05 UTC
In terms of identifying talent. The players that he resisted - Sturridge, Moreno, Sakho, etc. are the ones that's come up trumps for the club. The players that he's wanted- Lallana, Lovern, Allen, Borini... have been an embarrassment. He says that he's going to take a break from the game- I hope he never manages another club again, tbh. From Reading to LFC, he's shown that he doesn't, won't learn.

With regards to Klopp- dunno, but they haven't advertised a caretaker manager at LFC, so it means that they have a replacement to hand.

It was a painful Sunday. I really should just have been a good girl & gone to mass. But no, I thought watching two of my favorite teams was going to be fun. Ha!

So Brenda's gone - no surprise there. Klopp to the Kop? If alliteration and assonance have anything to do with it, yes. He'd certainly liven up the place.

Oh rapture, Sernando. XD

Since all the action in Arsenal/United was in the first twenty minutes I had gone through all the stages of grief to acceptance by the time it finished.

I think Klopp going to the Kop would be a mistake for him.

Take comfort in the fact that Martial looks to be the real deal (even if you guys paid an ungodly amount of money for him). Honestly, he was the only United player on the pitch who looked like he cared. Everyone else was bad and poor Basti was totally outrun by Alexis and Bug Eyes. Starting an aging Basti and Carrick over Schneiderlin, what was Thumbsy thinking?

Yup and LvG took far too long to change anything. We still had a chance at 2-0 down.

Choked back tears when Theo dedicated Sunday's win to Wenger. Grandpère is loyal to a fault when it comes to his players; if I feel heartbroken with our embarrassing, self-inflicted defeats, I can't imagine how negatively this must affect Wenger who puts so much trust in the players. Glad the manager handled our mid-week debacle privately with the team and refused to throw any of them under the bus, no matter how much the press tried to push the Ospina issue.
