Ledo- this guy is definitely auditioning for Barcelona or Real Madrid - whichever of the big two in La Liga comes for him first

lmao! when Lewandowski got 4 past Real Madrid in a CL match in 2013, their club director??? some guy apparently took him aside and asked him to join their club. that's the story anyway

(i think there's another story where Lewa's long gone father's dream was for him to play for Bayern, so i doubt he'll move to another league any time soon)

For Spain because the weather was better? Or some such thing.

lol! maybe then

he seemed a bit surplus to Bayern's requirements last season but he's on a roll in the last couple weeks xD

i can't imagine Bayern would want to get rid of him when he's performing like he is, but if the right offer comes, who know

Bayern is one of the clubs that do not have to let a player go. If he leaves it's because they can spare him.

English teams need to stop flopping :(, think of the coefficient!!11! Nah, but in all serious, what happened? Maybe people have a point when they argue that PL teams are struggling because the premier league is less technical.

Ugh PSV will play against CSKA Moscow tonight. One of the Dutch newspapers I read, a poor man's Guardian imo, wrote a gigantic article about racism in Russian football and what that might mean for tonight. I'm not looking forward to it. Fortunately, I'll be watching United anyway :D.

It's a bit weird, to say that, especially since most of the managers in the PL are foreign, and less than 30% of players playing in the league are British, so you can't even say it's The English Game since the top teams in the league aren't English at all. LOL. The PL was storming until 2008/10, so *shrugs* I don't know, but I have some ideas ( ... )

I definitely agree with you, with the foreign influence it's hard to believe that's the cause. I was thinking about the Eredivisie players who left for the PL for example, and the Eredivisie is VERY technical so they bring that with them when they go abroad ( ... )

With the CL you'd think they'd do everything to claim that fourth spot. Very odd.

Yeah, you'd think so! Especially with Manchester United, their new deal with Adidas hedges on the fact that their team has to get into Champions League. If they don't, it affects their bottom line. One of the reasons Liverpool lost their deal with Adidas was the fact that they weren't doing well in Europe (and offered some crap monetary deal in return, hence them turning to New Balance). It behoves the bigger teams to be in Champions League, so I can why they scrap for the top four, because Champions League is *iconic* from the teams and European nights to the kits- Europa league... not so much.

It's just that online, *cough* reddit *cough*, users ALWAYS mention how the PL is all about strength blabla and that teams need to be more technical in order to get far in CL and Europa. Still, there must be a reason why PL teams aren't performing at the moment. In a way it's too much of a coincidence to be a coincidence, and I do think that looking at the ( ... )

5 - Chelsea have now lost more games this season than they did in the whole of 2014-15 (4). Decline.

I think Chelsea is just going through transition. If Mourinho's season is a wash and he's serious about his resolve of playing academy talents, that might be the way forward, tbh.

Haven't watched this yet, as it's somewhat lengthy, but it seems a Dutch fan managed to smuggle himself into the Schalke training (as a player). One description says it gets interesting past minute 6.

Ah, I still haven't managed to watch it all. I can mostly understand the Dutch subtitles though. ;-)

Well I guess it's good that people want to be part of Schalke as opposed to running off a sinking ship...
