I only watched the first half of Man City vs Juve, as I got sick and had to get some rest, but from what I heard there were some dubious decisions last night. Sevilla got 3(!) penalties (but one of them was missed) and Real two (one of these were for a "handball" that in fact hit the player's back; earlier SHK had a player sent off). I don't know what was the incident with Ramos, but his "fall" was a real Fallon D'Floor contender, lmao.
Di María's goal was nice, tho.

That's really sad about Shaw. I don't even know what double broken really implies (it sounds awful), but it's a real shame considering he was finally in a better form after last season's struggles and now he will be out for at least the first half of the season. Bale got injured too, IDK how serious it is, but Benitez said it's similar to last season's injury?

Bale got a calf injury like last season jazzypom September 16 2015, 09:19:00 UTC
And I guess more will be known today, after it's iced down, and on rest, etc.

Yeah, the refereeing decisions seem to be shocking, just looking on the twitter TL now, and they are burning.

Shaw will be out for six months! Wow. He's always been a bit of a marionette when it comes to injuries. At Southampton, when he was still a player for Pochettino, he was put on a special fitness regime, and he was coming back into form at Manchester United and now he's out for at least six months. Ugh. He was so good for England and Manchester United too.

Missed everything yesterday.  Poor gladbach. Juve was in terrible form and yet city fail again. It's so strange!  Prince harry really should start the match. Well done PSV. I'm sure they didn't expect that.

BBC Newsbeat are trolling Mourinho today, with an article on fives games he could lost that would get him fired. There's a distinctly gleeful tone by the end.

""Who's the specialist in failure now?" is a retort Arsene is unlikely to make, although others may be less charitable."

Last season he won the PL title and the Captial Cup. They need to be looking at Brendan Rodgers - four years and £300 m later and he hasn't even gotten to a final or whatever. I guess the Beeb has it out for Mourinho because Mourinho told the BBC reporter to check google for facts instead of wasting his time.

I laughed :(

Watch us lose to Chelsea on Saturday. Mou is like, extra-determined against Arsenal all the time.

Does anyone have a video of Shaw's injury? It's probably awful but I'm terribly curious.

Moreno got MOTM! O.o jazzypom September 16 2015, 14:25:25 UTC
Still gutted for Luke Shaw, because he was a beast in the Three Lions shirt and it was a pleasure watching an English player just growing into his game with one of the bigger football teams in the world (I might not be a Manchester United fan but I can still respect their steeze). All the best to Luke Shaw.

I think the ref didn't see it. The other idea is that the ref saw the ball went the other way and thought Moreno got a touch, which is stupid because that doesn't mean it's not a foul. Should've been a sending off and a penalty.
