I didn't watch any games yesterday, only followed the events via apps. Some upsets happened - Slovenia was up 0:2 until the 80th minute, and then threw it all away in the end to lose 3:2 ... What a waste.
Hulk scored the lone goal on his return to the Brazil NT.

Drogba got his first start for Montreal Impact (he had his debut, but from the bench) and scored a hat-trick! The first goal was FAB and the 3rd one was a great rebound. <3

Clubs and countries should have to stick with 1 kit for at least 5 years. Everyone is walking around in a kit that was recycled from somewhere else. There is just so much you can do after all. And Belgium had a beautiful kit for the World Cup from a small manufacturer because we couldn't find another sponsor. After the World Cup, Adidas wanted to give us a lot more money so now we have the same as everyone else.

As for the refugee crisis. Well everyone has been hit by austerity in Europe so it's an excuse but not a fair one. But can't we ask the bankers who are very responsible for the whole economical crisis for their golden parachutes and other bonusses in order to pay for the help. Or what about the billionaires who are based in London. They should have a spare billion lying around.

From your lips to Cameron's ear, honestly! jazzypom September 6 2015, 09:36:28 UTC
Over here, people have been calling and pushing councils to do something (because hey, we pay council tax for services, right), and the East Midlands alone has a lot of properties that are under used, but there just seems to be so much politicking. Cameron had to climb down on a lot of things with this crisis to be honest. At last some empathy seems to be getting to the Tories. But this is the same party that had Thatcher as their lodestone (re: their principles) for years. I'm not surprised by Tories, just saddened, tbh.

We should! They avoided jail, they should pony up, tbh.

And we haven't talked about the Gulf states who don't mind taking our money for their oil, taking over sports teams and championships. But apparentely do not want to invest some of that money in human rights. Really instead of the navel gazing, something needs to be done about that.

There's a recent German joke that goes something like this.

A banker, an ordinary German citizen, and a refugee are sitting at a table. There are ten cookies on that table. The refugee takes one cookie. The banker takes eight. Then he says to the ordinary citizen: "Look, that refugee just stole your cookie!"

Yup. No need for social media, just do the sucking-the-thumb celebration and everyone knows.
