Man United spent too much money on that kid. Fucking ridiculous.

We are throwing around money we don't have.

All drama and embarrassment aside with Real Madrid, I'm actually very happy with who we have right now. Curious as to who's going to fill Fabio's spot (who I'm gonna miss, injuries and all), but really content with the squad overall. I'm thrilled that the DDG transfer failed and Navas will get his chance to be our #1! I'm super excited about Danilo and Casemiro, and we still have Cheryshev. And I'm still sad/disappointed about Khedira ( ... )

Agreeing about the Martial purchase. That's some expensive unproven talent there. Please let him be better than Welbeck I am really pleased with Darmian and Depay though. Romero... not quite as much. We'll have to see if there's an exodus in January, but right now United certainly have a nice goalkeeping line-up.

Lol-ing at the overall unanimity of the poll above. :D Casillas leaving RM - for anywhere that would have him - didn't surprise me. But I never thought Basti was going to leave Bayern.

Really? I wasn't surprised so much by Casillas not playing for RM anymore, but I thought for sure he would retire then, even early if he felt forced to do so. I was shocked by all of the mentioned transfers, lol - perhaps Cech's was a bit less shocking than it could have been because it was a long time coming (there was a whole season of his unhappiness being #2 and there was a lot of talk about him wanting to stay in London).

This season was full of surprises, even Balo going back to Italy was a bit unexpected considering he seemed to drift away from his country and his agent was sure he wouldn't return there.

Großkreutz transfer has not gone fully through. Bullet points:

- FIFA denies the necessary confirmation
- he's not allowed to play, but will still join Galatasaray
- will presumably be registered January 1
- can take part in training and friendlies
- BVB released him according to his own and Galatasaray's wishes (Galatasaray had tried to appeal the FIFA decision)
- transfer according to the negotiated conditions, supposedly 1.5 Million € transfer fee
- he posted on Instagram [have to read that]
- FIFA says that Galatasaray didn't follow all the steps needed within the time window
- Galatasaray submitted the things 48 seconds too late, supposedly to techincal problems
- Turkish media says that FIFA denied the appeal among other reasons because the documents weren't properly signed
. BVB claims they did their own part properly

Honestly, those are huge sums of money, and the people are supposedly professionals. It's a disgrace.

Is this the deal that was already said to be collapsed or was that another BVB player? So it only half-collapsed (he did sign a new club, but can't play for them)?

Honestly I don't get how incompetent these clubs are. I mean, this doesn't reach the ridiculousness of DDG saga with Real and United, but still.

It's the one. Seems like they've now done some sort of unofficial agreement about it.

And the most hilarious bit is that Galatasaray welcomed him officially on their website etc. as a new signing, while Dortmund was saying they couldn't confirm whether the transfer was complete.

Oh ffs! This is the most ridiculous end to the transfer window I can remember. At least Kevin will have time to work on his Turkish.

I died at the Silence of the Lambs panel. And at Steve Bould's mobile pic.
