We were talking about tags in a few posts in the last months, and I think a number of people agreed that it would be nice to have the tags a bit cleaned up. Some of the in-joke-like ones are hard to even understand, let alone remember, so finding a particular player might be a lot harder than it has to be. And, well, a few of them are a bit cringeworthy, like the one for Fellaini. Looking back at the comm's development over the years, it seems to have shifted its tone somewhat; it's a lot less ONTD-like. So perhaps, if it can be handled, work-wise, the tags could be a bit more streamlined and simple, just "player name", "club name" rather than "someone's beard" or "someone's coldblooded enforcers"? If there are multiple tags for the same thing, they can be merged on the tag management page, just like tag names can be changed, so there would be no re-tagging needed.

I believe jazzypom in particular would be happy about tag changes, as she does the news posts and has to find tags, a few of which cannot

yeah one of the main reasons is because "ffa=fist for all" annoys me lol

I'll be making a new rules post which will double as a 'contact a mod' post because my inbox filters out emails from LJ notifying me that i've been taged in a post (poor the4thjuliek constantly gets ignored because of this, sorry!)

Snow leopards!

I love them, I have a cuddly toy one, very life-like, that really made my Christmas at a point about 25 years ago. I'd seen it when shopping and been just spell-bound, but my parents managed to not let me realise they'd bought it (I hoped something was going on because they were speaking French to each other). And then I opened the package at Christmas and just... absolute joy.

Thanks for doing this, OP. Is it possible to remove the multiple Sergio Ramos tags? I think there are like, 10 tags of his. We can keep some of the fun ones like "mourinho's cold blooded enforcers" and "perez has done it again!" because they're still relevant but stuff like "gareth-boomboomletmehearyousay-bale" is so not necessary.

Can I also request the following tags:

Borussia Mönchengladbach
Eden Hazard
Rafa Benitez
Pierre Emmerick-Aubameyang

Also, I had requested 2 tags a few months ago but is it possible to change them?

i just merged about 3 of the sergio ramos tags lmao, it's a process! ones that are still recently being used will be kept and historial ones that are still amusing, but annoying ones that nobody ever really used will go asap

there are apparently already tags for borussiaMönchengladbach and eden hazard . they've never been used though, so i guess that's why you can't see it? idk

I'm so happy the seasons are staring. Last weekend I almost bought a PSG jersey.... but, it was too big (it was a large size children's jersey....... lmao).

As for the tags... What if we could have some "generic" tags to refer to clubs and/or players that don't have their own tag? (i.e.: brazilian clubs, argentinian clubs, polish players, french players... etc).

Wow Serena Williams finally lost again (second time this year) to Belinda Bencic. There have been a number of occasions where Serena hasn't played well but her serve went this time and that is her best shot.
