Fiorentina has been a bit messy this transfer season, first with the Montella drama and now with Salah. imo in both cases the club's got reasons to be angry but idk, the way they're handling these conflicts so publicly is kinda nagl.
i'm losing my shit rn because rumors say Quaresma is leaving Porto (and possibly to Sporting, wtf?!). according to a (usually pretty unreliable Lisbon-based) newspaper, Lopetegui dismissed him and told him not to show up for the 1st day of pre-season, which is tomorrow. (also, earlier this week he gave an interview in which he said he thinks Jorge Jesus - Sporting's brand new manager - is an even better manager than Mourinho.) mess.
idk, there's always been (never confirmed) rumors of some tension between the 2, but Porto has always been pretty good at dealing with such matters internally and discreetly. in any case Quaresma already denied the ~going to Sporting~ rumors, but at the same time only mentioned Portuguese clubs... i don't really believe he's leaving tbh, Lopetegui would lose the fans' support big time if he dismissed him. but i'm a bit afraid, ngl.
I'm so sad everytime I think about Argentina losing. Two wasted finals in less than a year. :( But this time is even worse because at least in the WC the difference was just one goal, while this time there were quite a few WTF tactical decisions and the penalty shootout was horrendous. I was worried about Bravo being a better GK than Romero, but I should have worried about the shooters instead, lol. I don't want to talk too much about Pipita because I don't want to make him a scapegoat and besides it seems last night's disaster seems mostly Martino's fault to me. I honestly expected Argentina to win (before the game), but they just didn't deliver, so that's why the loss feels more bitter than the WC one (although what was at stake then was bigger). They seem like a good team - no, they are a good team, but in crucial moments they fail
( ... )
There was a moment about 5 minutes before extra time was over where they showed Romero almost panicking that made me think this isn't going to end well for Argentina if it goes to penalties. (even if he did well with them at them at the World Cup) but yeah, it wasn't really down to him.
If Klose played a World Cup at 36, Masche can very well play at the next one xD
I had a feeling Chile would won since the 2nd half, but I didn't think it was going to penalties. In the buildip to the finale the penalties haven't even crossed my mind, let alone from a scoreless draw. When the game went to penalties, I knew ARG would lose (GKs, no Aguero, no Tevez etc.), and even more so when Pipita was called already for the 2nd penalty. :(
Ugh, I hope so, he's one of my faves. These older field players (Klose, Pirlo etc.) give me hope, but they're the exception, not the norm. I think he hasn't had many injuries, so that might help.
