Honestly? Gibraltar were very good, considering what they had to work with. They could have scored in the first half, they were very brave, because they didn't just defend well, but also actually attacked. They were only 1-0 down at halftime.

Once Germany had remembered they were not in fact on holiday yet and scored a few in the second half, Gibraltar got tired and couldn't keep up, which is understandable in people who play in their free time. But if one looks at the first part of the game, it was by far not the smackdown the result makes it look. If you look at discipline, morale, and concentration, they were better than Brazil were that day.

What you said. I didn't see the first half, but obviously Gibraltar were doing fairly well at that point. They tried the best they could once Germany finally got going, and I was impressed by the effort Gibraltar put in.
