Bale with a man bun, oh god. Even Ledley's beard and Welsh Prince can't cancel it out.
I'm rooting for Wales too! A draw would be nice, a win would be even nicer. They parked the bus well against Belgium lat time and Hennessey, the goalkeeper was amazing.
El mister is making noises about buses, but I'm rejecting that out of hand. So we'll see
You're from the northern part of England, right? Taking the bus will be an absolute nightmare. What about National Rail + Eurostar?
I agree about the German women's kit, it's lovely. I'm not a fan of the all-white, on both men and women. I preferred the white-and-black but the all-black from 2010 is my absolute favorite:
interesting...they used similar fonts for the numbers, but they're produced by different companies :9 (adias vs nike).
That black kit is super great. i do like the current eagle / red+black striped ones as well. They're both super classy. And I think the red/grey of the eagle gives the current kit more personality.
I'm still super confused by the red Germany ladies' kits though.
though this is just making me think about Kroos' comment about how his favourite colour is white because it's the colour of the home kits for Germany and Real... looolllll
Ah Germany when you don't finish your chances, you get punished. They should have been 3-0 ahead before half-time but they didn't. But to be fair to Norway, they didn't give up and got the reward. Great free kick too.
Oops Cavani.
Bale's facial hair and haircut is an insult to hair all around. I'm exciting for the match. It's crunch time. We have lost just 3 of the last 25 matches so the team is doing well. But they struggle against defensive teams. So guess we'll see. The line-up for tonight; Courtois: Alderweireld-Denayer-Lombaerts-Vertonghen-Witsel-Nainggolan-De Bruyne-Mertens-Hazard-Benteke but if De Bruyne isn't entirely fit, it'll be Chadli
Nah, Germans don't really think Götze is Messi. It's just that Löw's unfortunate, yet successful motivational line from the World Cup final ("Show they world that you're better than Messi") is wildly popularised. But at this point, even without Franz Beckenbauer's scathing criticism, it's clear that he's not on that level by far.
Oh, Qatar intends to sue Theo Zwanziger (the former president of the German FA) for libel/slander/being offensive [German-language source]. They say that his choice of word is an "unacceptable slander". Freedom of opinion supposedly "does not cover slander and collective offense!" Zwanziger's "incendiary criticism" isn't founded on any facts. Qatar is "open to objective criticism" and will participate in "controversial discussions".
It's apparently, among other things, about an interview he gave two years ago. Quote: "The endless wealth of this small land Qatar extends over football and sport almost like a cancerous growth".
Hmm interesting. Zwangizer does have a point tbh. Qatar is hosting an insane amount of sporting events. But they cannot change the fact that the weather is not really suitable and they need to hire fans to fill the stadium. The question is of course what will happen if the oil prices would hit a low and their wealth vaporises before 2022.
On the other hand, it's our use of oil that makes it possible.
“You’ll be my friend, right Juanfran? You’ll hug me when I need to be hugged and tell me that David De Gea looks like a llama when I need to be told that David De Gea looks like a llama?”
After Gareth Bale and Luca Mordich, Spurs would be mad if they sold Harry Kane. It's already hard enough hanging on to Lloris. Hold on, Levy, hold. On.
Yeah, Brad Jones is gonejazzypomJune 12 2015, 12:07:53 UTC
Jones was terrible- and the death of his son some time ago only made his performances (understandably) worse. With Bogan, he's been a second starter at Bolton and supposedly very brittle and injury prone. The choice has had some LFC supporters restive.
