I feel sorry for old Pellers. So Vieira coming as the replacement is confirmed or what? Aww man, I wish we hadn't played City already. Paddy vs. Wenger would have been so much fun.

A question- for those leagues who have B sides (like Bundesliga with Bayern B, or Real Madrid with Castilla B) do they share the same home stadium with their senior sides? Like, would Castilla B play at the Bernabeu, for instance?

Usually, no. BvB II plays at the Stadion Rote Erde. FC Bayern II plays at the Städtisches Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße, which also used by the Bayern women's team. Real Madrid Castilla plays at the Alfredo di Stefano Ground. I think, only for certain exceptions they use the home ground.

I MUST remember to put Fernando Torres on safe search. My partner's eye snagged on the page where I got this picture and went, "MY EYES!" Whoops

Because of Griezmann's hairstyle? :D

Arsenal begin talks with Liverpool and Manchester United's Serie A target Gonzalo Higuain

Not this nonsense again.

Begovic is looking to leave Stoke for... ( ... )

So when I do searches for pictures of him... I tend to find gay porn in the mix. Oy.

The Begovic rumours leaving Stoke might have some truth to them in that Stoke has cancelled the second goalie's loan to a Championship side, tied him down a new contract, so Bejovic seems to be making moves. Not necessarily to Tottenham (Lloris seems to show no signs of moving), but Stoke is acting as if they're expecting him to go.

We'll see the kits soon enough.

Thank you for the answer re the B teams, that's helpful, thank you.

Fernando Torres shares his name ... with a porn star

I had no idea! Maybe it's because I've googled Superflop only twice in the last six months.

Omg. I thought CL was not this week. SOMETHING TO WATCH TONIGHT YAS. Not going to watch Juventus lol :( So go Atléti.

Suarez does have pretty eyes! Makes up for the Griezmann hair eyesore.

Begovic to Spurs... to, what, watch Lloris from the bench? Hmmm

LOL, right? jazzypom April 14 2015, 08:30:08 UTC
I haven't heard any rumours of Lloris leaving, and I think Pochettino respects Michel Vorm enough to give him first goalie if he goes (I don't know why Vorm left Swans as a first to go to Spurs as a second, but he's getting his time in the posts now).

CL is this week and next week, I think. Bayern is supposed to play Porto tomorrow? Then Juventus plays PSG next week, I think.

I think the best case scenario (for ... me) would be for Lloris to go to Dortmund. Clearly that's what's going to happen xD

Yeah, Bayern plays Porto tomorrow. PSG- Barcelona tomorrow as well

First legs are today and tomorrow, second legs next week <- the only place i know where to go for the dates is wikipedia lol

I think Atlético Madrid play in a wrestling ring or something, that's the only reasonable explanation for them getting 11 red cards this season....

Chelsea were the team that put Atleti out of the UYL so I suppose there's no shame in losing to the eventual winners. They progressed a round further than they did last year so hopefully we'll see more youth coming through at Atleti. Although with Gabi, Koke, Saúl, Mario, Torres and Lucas (to an extent) in the first team, the cantera is quite well represented.

Eric Cantona has been speaking and apparently Catalonia, not Spain, won the WC and Javier Pastore is the best player in the world Make of that what you will.

It's a more scandalous way of saying that Barca won the WC, I get it :D

Pastore isn't terrible but Cantona is Cantona.

I guess it happens more often than we think. Just last year Bayern won the WC as well. 😏

A nice article about Superflop's homecoming to the Calderon: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/apr/14/fernando-torres-atletico-madrid-real-champions-league-quarter-final-first-leg

Earlier today, my mother, reading the paper, asked me, "Who is Fernando Torres? He's very cute."

I told her the whole story XD

Haha xD

Nice article! The bit about wearing an Atléti tracksuit to piss of Real Madrid fans in school makes me like him even more xD

About how Atletico Madrid fans are prisoners of feeling and Real Madrid fans are prisoners of results.

here's a pretty good preview of tomorrow's match - this time from a 'portuguese' perspective, if anyone's interested. (in english)

as for tonight, rooting for juve & somewhat indifferent to the outcome of the other match.

Very nice article! I think Porto can beat Bayern. Defend deep, take advantage of the lack of midfield options and hit them on the counter à la Gladbach. I won't be sad if Bayern lose :) I'm still hoping for a classic Porto-Monaco final again.
