No real surprises in this article for me. Lopez was a Mourinho signing.
And there is no way around Iker at the moment for whatever reason.
But I hope Lopez is still proud of his achievements at Real.

Glad that he's gone on to better things in terms of play time and probably a nicer workplace. I know that Ancelotti's goal keeping coach really rated him - definitely rated him over Casillas, and was mad that he got forced out of Real Madrid. Oh, well. Politics is politics.

Nobody tells me and suddenly Keylor is bought

well that seems a bit shitty but it seems like he was another World Cup impulse buy like James so.. yeah

That, and he was La Liga's best goalkeeper. He really saved Levante many, many times. It was a very Bayern-esque move from Real.

Can you imagine if Neuer had been treated that way he was in the end? o_O

Yeah, I think hell will be raised if anything like this happens.

But I do know that Klose didn't leave Bayern on good terms. I vaguely remember something about Thumbsy screwing him over and he didn't get much support from Rummenigge and decided not to renew his contract.

I'm not sure (hopefully someone can confirm) but Ballack and Poldi didn't leave on great terms either.

Ugh I don't even care if I was the minority but I really really feel sorry for him. Fuck politics and Mou for using a hard-working lifelong Madridista as a pawn in his stupid mindgames/powerplay. I know it is redundant as fuck to say this but I feel bad for the way he was treated ERRYWHERE (even in within the club), and the way he got cornered until he finally had no choice but leave was jank as shit. I hope he kicked ass (just not RM's ass por favoooor) in Milan and I hope despite everything RM has done to him, he's still a Madridista ( ... )

iker's broken hand was inevitable but even after he was healed, Mou relegated him to Copa and CL only. That's some serious shade/trolling/Cyrus Beene-level power play because not playing weekly league game fucks him up big time. It stunted his feel for the game, made him doubt his ability, etc dark- sided feels and it spilleth over to national team games and fucked him over even there. After that whole mental gymnastics played on him I wasn't surprised that Carlo's GK coach rated Diego better than Iker tbh

Right... As was mentioned above, Diego was apparently the best goalkeeper in La Liga at the time, objectively.
