i'm reading this thread on reddit about smart celebs and someone mentioned Frank Lampard. does he really have an IQ of 150? do we know of any other ~intelligent footballers?
also, i just found out about "Mensa". the whole concept of it seems so elitist.
Question is of course what you mean by smart and what the worth of an high IQ is. Simon Mignolet did a bachelor's degree at university. http://www.kuleuven.be/english/news/2012/student-athlete-simon-mignolet-excels-in-the-goal-and-in-the-classroom And Zenit defender Lombaerts went to law school; he only has his thesis to finish because he moved to Russia in his final year. (for the Americans: in Belgium college sports don't exist, so Mignolet simply played for his club when he studied).

that's true. there are many types of intelligence (i.e. Gardner's multiple intelligences theory) but I guess in the traditional sense, society thinks of high IQ as having book smarts or being more academically inclined than the average person.
