I read somewhere about how Luis Enrique's changes in tactics and formations in every match has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. He got a lot of flack earlier in the season but his methods have helped avoid injuries to his players, especially important guys like Masche, Neymar, etc,. Also Rat-Face's ban has helped.

Lmao, Horse-Face. That man cannot dress for shit. I don't know, I've never rated Ramos highly. He's certainly one of Real Madrid's better defenders but internationally, Puyi was always there to cover up his and PK's blunders.

(I may or may not be still bitter about that semifinal against Germany in the 2010 World Cup.)

sis i don't know what made you say this but i truly hope you don't believe this. Carvajal is our best defender by a long mile ATM. to say Arbeloa can be considered best in any way is just plain wrong.

Lol, I stand by my unpopular opinion that Arbeloa was the best Real defender against Schalke. Aside from that, I don't really rate him highly and Carvajal didn't play that match (and I didn't watch the Athletic match because of Gladbach) so I don't know how he's been playing of late.

Went back to the Brandywell for the first time in years yesterday! Sadly Derry lost to the reigning champions Dundalk but we won our opening game last week so it has been a good start to the season for us. Dundalk were the better side but the boys didn't really help themselves with the mistakes they were making.

The EPL has so much money that other leagues are bit jealous, which I kind of understand because if they have so much, is there any money left for the rest of us. Although it's no excuse for the bad managment and shady managers of certain clubs.

Yeah Bale, he is an easy victim for Marca; foreign, expensive, not in great shape at the moment. Statistically he isn't so bad, 10 goals scored but 7 were in matches were Real won with at least a 3 goal advantage. I'm starting to think that he suffers from the absence of Di Maria. Real play a different style with Kroos/Isco/James and I don't think that's entirely suited to Bale. Ancelotti has to rethink. Either he benches Bale, gives Jese a chance and sees what happens or he has to find a system that suits Bale better.

Madrid sucking does not mean that Ramos is ze best, it means he has to be a catchall for their othwrwise sordid defense.

Also Khedira to Schalke? Yes pls. I imagine Schalke would have to cement their CL spot for him to come though. Still surprised Wenger is not making advances

I think Wenger will try to get Khedira in the summer. I wouldn't rule it out. IIRC, he isn't opposed to moving to London and I imagine Lena would like it there more than Gelsenkirchen :D

Don't get me wrong - Ramos isn't bad when he can finish a game without a red but he's no Puyol. Or Lahm. You could have a whole game with both Puyol and Lahm and probably not even have a keeper, really.

Wenger clearly needs more midfielders. Schalke - idk, they need some better attackers. Until the baes get a little older. Or, more specifically, Draxler comes back. Am a little frustrated that they're doing the whole one-step-forward two-step-back right now with their BL position. :|
