Because I wondered how sports punditry would have been a pathway to coaching, but I see that he's doing it the right way. Well done.

is it one of those things where he can do commenting on the side of getting his coaching license? I'm not clear how it works. I know Wenger had a deal to comment for French footie programs during the WC before. Obviously that has not impacted his ability to manage AFC

Mehmet Scholl was coaching a Bayern youth team and later the second team while being a TV commentator. He quit the coaching job eventually because he got into trouble with the Bayern hierarchy over the commentating; Hoeneß had said he wasn't to extend his TV contract if he wanted to stay coaching there. He'd for instance criticised Mario Gomez with a memorable quote, which they really didn't appreciate. There were also guesses that his quitting might have to do with his son coming up through the youth team and potential conflicts of interest there.

Gary Neville is the assistant manager of England and he does commentary for Sky too. Punditry helps these guys to analyze teams, positions and players which helps them in coaching.

Imagine Brooklyn Beckham being coached by Thierry Henry.

e: And he's been given the #14 shirt which was what Titi wore!

that's Theo's shirt right now for the first team. I bet it must be a dream to wear that number for him.

IIRC, I think Titi told Grandpère to give that number to Theo when he left.

THE RETURN OF THE KING

is he going be involved with Wales NT and Arsenal U-16 then?

I think the Wales camp was just to gain some experience. But the Arsenal youth teams will definitely be seeing a lot of him.
