The Guardian's choice of the world’s best current footballers was selected by a 73 global panel of experts from 28 countries (international players, journalists, broadcasters and Guardian correspondents). Today, they revealed the top 10 players in the world.

*snort* This image built from the top down for me, and I only needed to see the hair tips to verify that it was the expected top three. And on the whole, they seem to have done their utmost to find unattractive photos of almost everyone.

Hrm, yes, Lahm does not get appreciation. Too few goals, I guess (it was funny adorable when he managed two in one game recently). Good that they recognise Thomas Müller's creative madness at least, even though one probably has to be German to recognise how hilarious he is when he talks.

Lahm forever underappreciated, poor dude. In the first Germany match of the 2010 World Cup my comm was like: 'oh yeah Lahm, I remember him from last time, not too bad'. /rollseyes/
