Great post as always!
Courtois has a small muscle problem so Cech will be in goal for Chelsea. Courtois said in the Belgian press that he hates to lose even at pingpong or monopoly.
I'm curious about the Liverpool-Man Utd match, both teams have played some terrible football this season but Van Gaal has been slightly better at winning.

Especially for you sweaty Bernat and Satan Bobby hugging it out:

LvG's form is taking shape, tbh jazzypom December 13 2014, 12:28:22 UTC
Liiiike, even when Manchester United was on shaky form and losing, you saw what he was trying to do, and as United's games have gone on, you're seeing LvG's imprimatur taking place. In addition, his honesty really helps.

If they do badly, LvG lets them know it (and everyone else), and there seems to be an air of meritocracy that LvG has in his camp that Rodgers lacks. If you can play, LvG will make you play, and if his problems with you are too great for him to see you as an asset, he'll ship you out. Rodgers... not so much. He's alienated players who could play, over those that you scratch your head and go, wtf. You really get the feeling that he's out of his depth. That maybe, being a manager at midtable league is his lot in life. Nowt wrong with that - it's just that it's painful watching him hone his management wheels on my team. LOL.

Courtois and Cech. Hah, Mourinho has high class problems indeed. A sure pair of hands, or a surer pair of hands? I can only be puce with jealously.

Cute picture!

Since hardly anyone outside of North America gets the US soccer ~thang, that Maryland goalie is coming from a college/university team, not an MLS or NASL team. I was like, I didn't know Maryland had a pro team until I saw the Terrapins mention. (And maybe there is a pro team there, but the Terrapins aren't one, technically.) But it is true, North America should just become one of Europe's goalie dealers. And maybe defense in the future! (Since few seem to care about that.)

Oh wow, so he's been tapped from college? jazzypom December 13 2014, 12:30:35 UTC
Niiice. That says something about his skills, truly. I'm glad that he's taken the opportunity.

Yeah, the Americans do make great goalies. I dunno about Americans and defence though. You still need that sweet one touch passing. In a lot of ways, DeAndre Yedlin's time at Spurs will be allllll sorts of interesting.

once again, i do not understand the thirst over reus. he looks so... boyish and scrawny. like everything about him is more "petite" than normal, considering he's a footballer. no wonder he gets injured all the time. boy needs to muscle up a bit.

thank you for including a dashing photo of Juan, OP. now that is an attractive guy. ;)

i don't know why but i'm feeling sort of positive about dortmund today. not as apprehensive as usual, but then not confident either. i hope i'm not jinxing them with this statement. #fingerscrossed

If I'm asked for Hummels, I do try and throw a pic in, and the same for Tin Tin. I don't mind delivering hotness for everyone's tastes save Götze and Boateng. I just... cannot. #icannot

Yeah, Reus should do a Neymar. Neymar was as slight as tinkerbell when he first landed in the league and he's a stone heavier now, stronger, but hasn't lost his speed or agility.

I like Reus because he seems to be a character without being obnoxious about it.

We'll see about Dortmund. Between them and Liverpool, I'm in thesilverwitches journal eying some dodgy prompts. SMH. This is not the way.

That's funny you say that about Neymar, because I say about him what you said of Reus, ha - that he should gain more muscle, a la CR7. He's injured again.
