The Manchester derby will be interesting. I hope Silva will be fit for it. Pellegrini needs wins against United and CSKA to keep City on track.
Glad with the Real win. Good for Navas, Khedira and some others to get to play a full match.
I'm looking forward to Bayern-Dortmund. But I hope Robben will play. I think Dortmund will play well. They played well in the CL so far and they might feel that a good result against Bayern can kickstart their league campaign.

For a second I thought that the dude on the far right in the Leipzig picture was Schürrle.

Tee hee, truth be told, Manchester United have been playing better without Rooney than with, tbh. Rooney has a bad habit of letting his temper lead him into some knuckleheaded decisions - and I don't think that he's much of a leader at all (I still am wtf'ing of letting him be the Captain of the English NT- I'd have just gotten all the snakebit ones out, and go with youth, tbh. But that's another rant for another time).

I need Dortmund and my teams to start winning. Everytime my team lose, I fill angsty prompts that bring joy to no one. You hear me, Liverpool, Dortmund and *sobs brokenly* Real Sociedad? The struggle.

still don't get the Rooney thing either. Van Gaal didn't really have a choice if he wanted or had to name an English captain.Manchester United has always been thought of as an English club. Even when they brought in Ronaldo and others, they still had English/British players like Scholes and Rooney and Beckham, that sort of thing. So it's bad enough that half of the team's locker room are Spanish speakers (or Dutch) and that the English lads (like Luke Shaw) aren't showing up and out. So in that light, yeah, I can see van Gaal would have given it to Rooney, but Rooney's red card (stupid), his screaming at his players when they're behind, and just being Rooney, it's just a bad choice all around ( ... )

I don't know if you stuck around in the viewing post but the Cornella players weren't happy about Marcelo's cartwheel celebration. Can't blame them.

Anyway, there was no bad blood and it was settled: http://www.football-espana.net/46479/marcelo-celebration-upsets-cornella

They seem to be cut from the same cloth, tbh. They have the fist of steely ambition clothed in velvet charm.

Ah, this one! Yeah, I'm quite certain they'll become managers/sport directors or something.

But didn't Basti say once that he sees himself and Fips in Bayern management at some point in future? I can totally see Fips as next Uli Höneß (just sans prison) and Basti as next Karl-Heinz Rumhemenigge. Fips is inteligent as fuck and I totally see him as mastermind of a big football project and Basti is cocky enough to be agressive on transfer market the way Rummenigge is (as much as a BvB fan in me hates it, he is a genious in this).

City were awful. Just awful. David Silva injured and Jesus, Son of Satan aka Spanish Satan was so sloppy yesterday. There was one shot which missed an open goal! But Newcastle were the better team by far.

Yeah, he had a knee injury and got subbed early in the match. I'm not sure how long he'll be out but I'm quite sure he won't be okay in time for Sunday's derby.

My local sporting website is openly asking when King Neuer is going to dribble across the field.
Although I'm having conflicting feelings about that. On one hand I'm completely terrified of it on the other hand, I kinda want to see it happen?

Same. I'm so worried that if he keeps running out of his box, he'll mess up eventually but I get such a rush when I see him playing as a midfielder for those few moments.

I know! It has to go wrong at some point and I imagine that Pep will explode when that happens but as long as we're up a few goals when it happens, it won't be that bad. He can stay the hell into his box when we're in the CL though.
