I get that Goetze scored THAT GOAL, but ... other than that he played a terrible season! And Diego Costa - seriously? I know Suarez bit on the WC, but why isn't he on the list?

Plus, there are at least three goalies I am missing on this list!

If a German wins it, it shouldn't be Götze, although he's playing very well this season.
Costa won the title and helped Atletico to the CL final, he has to be there.

Biting someone in the World Cup is not a bad reason to be left out, I'd say.

Although NGL, I'm tickled pink to see El Cholo (Diego Simeone) up there.

you mean accurate? these players have all had great seasons, tho i don't want some of them to win due to personal reasons. but there's nothing we can do about it. ;)

Cholo. <3

The fact that the two players from my team nominated don't even play for us anymore is kind of sad. And, no Godin. wtf is with that? I hope Thibaut wins.

Why do they bother? It's going to be either Ronaldo or Messi, I expect Ronaldo since Messi got something at the World Cup.

i wouldn't say they don't deserve it though, because they are great players. i know people are sick of them winning these awards, but it's not like it was totally undeserved, because they play their hearts out everytime and give performances that are expected from them, sometimes even more.

my only complain is that non-goal scorers always get snubbed :(

Lahm has to win this thing. But alas that's not going to happen.
They should make this one a price that you can win only once. We know by now that Ronaldo and Messi are great footballers, what's the use in them getting a 3rd or 5th Ball? None.

Strangest inclusion for me is Iniesta. By his standards his year was awful.

As for the coaches, Löw, Sabella, Ancelotti or Simeone, the World Cup finalists and the CL finalists. If Klinsmann is in the list, they could have nominated Wilmots too. He took Belgium into the quarter finals of the World Cup after missing out in 5 previous tournaments and he barely has any coaching experience.

I think Klinsi was nominated because he was rather prominent during the WC but I agree, Wilmots should have been nominated as well.

Thanks for the vote of support. lol
I know that he was prominent and he did well with the USA. But now that I got thinking about it. It's the head coach of Costa Rica who achieved the most in the World Cup. So maybe he should be in it in place of Klinsi or Mourinho. Mou is great but last year was nothing special.
