Dan got a lot of criticism in Belgium for a long time. Which was unjustified seeing as he was the best performing Belgian in football for a long time.
He has a great list of titles and he went to 2 WC's. Bowing out with a WC quarter final against Argentina is not a bad way to go.

If Real wants to get rid of Khedira, I hope he can go to a good club. With the injury to Martinez and Thiago and delicate Basti, Bayern could use him.

Zlatan has been around forever, I always forget that he is in his mid-thirties already

I always loved DvB. I think he was a great player and a very good influence in the Bayern team.

As for Zlatan - man, we will miss him! So much.

Spamming your post.
But Suarez' ban is changed slightly. He is still banned for 4 months from competitive matches but he can get into training with Barca. His presentation is on Monday.

Yes, I saw. I think it is a good decision.

Javi is out for at least 6 months apparently.

Khedira does appear to have wanted to leave but would Bayern pay him the wages Arsenal apparently wouldn't?

Good question. But then - will Bayern risk playing a horrible first part of the season?

And man, they will mourn their loss of Toni Kroos like nothing else.

I wasn't concerned about Toni leaving until all the injuries. We need every man we can get at this point.

Good point. There were a couple rumors (probably no truth behind them but idk) about Pep wanting Khedira at Bayern a couple weeks ago but then he made the statement about not buying any more players this transfer window a few days ago.. But now he is half forced to at this point. Not sure if Khedira would go there though. Money could be a problem between them but he might want to have a guaranteed starting spot for at least a while instead of possibly being benched at the increasingly crowded Real.

Also, I think Toni wanted to leave for a while though, that's why they let him go so easily. But they could definitely use him now.

..I don't know why i find the potential Khedira-Kroos switch between Bayern and RM so amusing but i do :p

Like I said in the Ribery post, this is one depressing year for football. I'll miss Big Dan (he and I share the same birthday!). I remember his debut for Bayern; can't believe its been eight years!

Same for BFG. Besides, if he retires from the NT, who will hand out the water?! :P

The day Zlatan retires, football will become a little less fun.

He's always been such a mega-dork, from his terrible dancing to his goofy grin in almost every picture. Ser Jerome at the back <3

Ser Jerome always looks so infinitely bored! He makes me laugh so hard. Nothing can faze him!
