Thank god. I'd rather see Vermaelen go to Barca and chill with Messi, the True Leader of Argentina and Rat-Face than see Thumbsy get him. Regardless of him and RVP being besties.

i don't see why, he wasn't even first choice at arsenal + despite playing cb and lb he's got injuries, makes mistakes, it would have been a good deal money wise but not really if he ends up on the bench.

He's actually so ideal for a three-man defence it's almost funny. I can see why Van Voldi wanted him and I was terrified he'd go to Man Utd.

As part of a CB pairing, he's not as good without a settled partnership - so I'm relieved he's at Barca.
