There were two things - TWO THINGS - I will forever hold against Low in Euro 2012.
1) He played Gomez first
2) He subbed Kroos for Muller on the right wing, meaning it was up to Lahm and only Lahm to deal with that side.

IA though - at this point and time nothing less than a trophy impresses me. It's awesome that Germany can get to a semi so consistently. But they were getting to semis when Jurgen was in charge too so it's not like Low fixed everything. He did make the right choice bringing in some new faces in 2010 but some of that was a happy coincidence a la injuries (and has not worked with the Dortmund boys he keeps forcing in sorry Gotze)

I don't hate the guy and it must suck for him with so much pressure but... it sucks for the players too. I know we aren't at full strength because of injuries but even then - again - the core players are still there. These are the players that have won Trebles, CLs, Pokals, FA Cups, you name it. Germany does not have a problem with quality anymore.

although the youth system really ( ... )

What pissed me off this WC was Low's reliance on Gotze. Gotze's had a good run this season at Bayern but IMO, he's not working well with guys like Beni and Ozil. At least he's come to his senses now.

YES THAT

It would be different if Reus was out - Reus can collab pretty well with both Gotze and Klose at the very least but without Reus Gotze just seems... lost. And keeps trying to play cleverly around players who can easily push him like a playground bully.. I dread that he keeps putting him out though. If it's just to "build experience" well... wait until we are several goals up first.

I have no idea how we'd look if not for all the injured roster. I think Jogi would have put out Gotze/Reus each and every time and kept trying to force the False 9 but maybe without so much reliance on Ozil.

When it comes to gaining experience, I think Low should bring in Draxler, if only briefly, for the match. He's at least got some experience when it comes to working with Beni. And I still feel that a part of Low's problems is his over-reliance on Bayern players (who are all fantastic, but still).

I'm still hoping for the glorious day that Klopp takes over.

It's that ridiculous FIFA pose, I'd say. I roll my eyes whenever they do that animated thing before the match, because the players look incredibly silly all doing that arm thing one after the other.

I love the variation of faces, tbh. Some try to be all 'THIS IS MY SERIOUS FACE RAWR', while others just don't care and have goofy grins. XD
