Local derby drama! There doesn't have to be another team in the same city, people get intense about Norwich v Ipswich and Portsmouth v Southampton and they're many miles apart as towns. They're generally not actually violent, just an excuse for extended sarcasm festivals and club songs.
As for a team name, you could try 'London City', or something equally real-but-preposterous. "Greenwich Town" is good, although there is probably some tiny non-league team with a similar name.
That's what I'm afraid of, some actual town club with 9 supporters, one of whom will read the minicomic and get all offended because none of the crap i wrote was accurate and "has she even ever been to Greenwich Town? NO."
But yes, Derby drama is good, and will def be in there.
:D I don't think there are three houses clustered together in Britain that don't have a football team. You could look at a map of a big city and pick out the name of a suburb that doesn't already have a team named after it.
This is a personal conversation cause you're the only one who even kind of cares about this. I'm going to just go with Greenwich Town cause lbr, if it sounds like an english town, it most likely is. The only other glaring thing that i'm drawing a blank on is an imaginary company sponsor to put on the club shirts.
Is Stratford End a real place? See this is why I was just naming things after New England, cause there's a Stratford here too. And yes, Lions sounds like rugby but I'll likely use it anyway cause we do need a mascot.
