god I need to go to bed but I have a lot of feelings. I feel like US Soccer is justified in trying to build up the league before the next season but there need to be more chances before terminating it and I don't feel like they are providing much assistance/support to WPS. and did they think about what terminating magicJack would have to do with this before doing so? assuming and hoping that the league continues, there needs to be procedures in place so that a franchise or team isn't completely owned by one person in order to protect the team from being cut just because their owner is crazy (I am eloquent).
also they need more women on the board of US Soccer

I feel totally sick. Literally - absolutely nauseous.

cool. so just crush the dreams of young girls, perpetuate the stereotype of women in football and don't even attempt to keep the league afloat so that it can actually improve.... seems legit.

It just pisses me off bc I feel like they're so lazy about the treatment of the WPS. There are so many things that could be done to gain viewership, sponsorship, more money, etc. First thing that comes to mind is the MLS- they could really help, but it feels like they haven't done much. It could be simple stuff, too. The players could tweet about WPS matches, they could put ads for it in their programs during games, idk just something.

I agree! I think it's so cute when the Arsenal guys talk about the Arsenal ladies. That kind of promotion can get interest generated. Also if the guys talk about it, people might take the ladies more seriously because they think the guys respect them.

yup, I think it's cute, too! I don't mean to be like this, but it's quite irritating, because the girls are ALWAYS talking about MLS games and supporting them, but I hardly ever see the guys return the favor. Landon Donovan tweeted about the WWC once and Hope's appearance on DWTS, and then I've seen a few guys from MLS teams flirt with Alex Morgan, and that does not count. It's so tacky/cringe-worthy, because it just seems like they're trying to impress their friends or something. and besides, homegurl's been with her boyfriend for like, 4 years. She ain't here for that.
