I don't know much about her really. She does sound a bit intensely romantic. I suppose it's good they broke up before they got married rather than after. Her makeup is bad though.

I think they were genuinely happy together, but I think the Madrid move was just too much for the relationship - and that's not surprising! And actually - she said so herself in her single comment on the break-up - it was too much and like living "in a golden cage".

nna-Maria was his fiancee, that's completely verifiable. She seems very charming, buoyant, energetic and self-confident. If the Aida rumour is true then that would seem to suggest he likes his ladies a little older (5-6 years or so), motherly (both are young mothers), and with very strong personalities.
Yup. Also kind of suggests that he wants kids of his own, if he's repeatedly going out with women who already have kids.
I didn't really get the whole hating on Annamaria Lagerblom thing. Is she supposed to put herself on the shelf forever because her marriage didn't work out and she has a child? Plenty of single mothers date. Mostly they go out with guys who are cool with dating a package deal, the way Mesut appears to have been.

I adored that woman - and I adored Mesut for being so much more mature than his sexual-maturity-of-a-12-year-old tumblr fans. And the more hate that woman got from deranged sexual-maturity-of-a-12-year-old tumblr fans the better I loved her.
That woman has flawless taste in boots too. Never saw a pair of boots on that girl that I didn't immediately covet. Her peek-a-boo suede ones - I WANT.
I was distraught when she started going out with Bushido late last year, because I was holding out for a reunion, but I had to chuckle over the "oh this proves she's a slut." What? I mean - as you say - she's supposed to go into purdah? Never ever date again to avoid offending sexual-maturity-of-a-12-year-old tumblr fans?
The men she dates are cool, hot (let's not deny it) and okay with the "package deal" as you put it. Who wouldn't want to date them? Why should anyone's flawless taste in men be a mark against them?

I know very little about her except she wears a lot of makeup and has slightly scary eyebrows. Which can be said for plenty of WAG's, so it's hardly unusual. And I know she was in the process of converting to Islam and she and Mesut broke up, so I'm guessing it was serious. Most people don't get engaged or switch religions on a whim. I was a little weirded out when they split, actually. My own reaction, not knowing a whole lot about either of them (I'm in Canada. The first I'd heard of Mesut was at WC2010), was along the lines of, "Oh well. It's sad when a couple split up when there's a child involved." I realize it's not Mesut's child, but based on photos I saw during WC2010, it did seem like he was the primary father figure in her son's life, so that's got to be tough for the kid

No way! She's got short-term approval but she won't let Cris marry a woman who isn't prepared to settle down and be a wife/mother, which I can't see Irina doing at her age/with her lifestyle. He'll marry an unknown Portuguese girl when he's 30.
