The simple truth is that that traitor altered the state of reality for Spain to win

Sorry all I got from this was how tiny Lahm looks in the first picture. :3

Actually, can someone who is more knowledgable than me break down how Spain beat Germany in the Euros and WC? I just got into soccer during the WC so I never saw the Euros and wasn't ~tactically aware enough last summer to really grasp it. I'm curious what strategy they used and what Germany might do to counteract it next year.

Honestly, and this is just my opinion for WC '10 - Germany choked. And Spain essentailly controlled the ball / kept it still most of the time, which is a good way to shut down Germany's counterattack. (Much as I love this NT, they have a lot of trouble with defensive teams.)

Also Muller got redcarded, which left em seriously weak on his side, and I really do think Podolski already was coming down with the flu when they played because I remember just how red-eyed and watery he looked.

yeah, I think so too. And imo we can't forget that a bunch of the Spanish starting XI had already won everything that there is to win in club football. It's no wonder they were more in control of their nerves.

He and Neuer are responsible for me liking Schalke.

And that Schalke is like... a happy team. I do not know if this is normal Schalke behavior or not but I remember watching their UEFA matches and they're like, YAY!

beautiful article and pictures

have saved the "I fought the Löw and the Löw won" graphic

also when I got to the first point I legit thought it was going to say something about how we have a variety of heights from Lahm to Mertesacker
