it was obvious he wasn't going to carry on for too much longer, but i can't believe he is actually retiring ):

Me too. It just feels weird. And retirement is always sad, but I'm just depressed over this. I guess it's because I expected it to come at the end of the season and not now. :(

It really sucks that his career could have been so much more greater than it was if it wasn't because of all the injuries he suffered and the weight issues

I knew it was coming because it's not like it was a surprise (since he said he was going to retire at the end of the season), but I really regret thinking I had enough time to see him play just one last time that I pushed seeing a Corinthians match off to the side especially since he decided to retire earlier than he said he would.

He's one of my absolute favorites of all time and one of the players that made me fall in love with football and showed just how beautiful football can be as a little kid.
