Edwin van der Sar was made an Officer of Oranje-Nassau (i.e. knighted) today in an Oranje farewell ceremony before Holland's match vs. Hungary. He also sang the national anthem with the team after thanking the fans and his family and wishing the Oranje well in South Africa.

I'm not very good at Dutch, but I believe his main gist is: "It's been wonderful to play all these years with the team and for you great fans in Switzerland (08), in Germany (06), in France (98); I wish you the best of luck for this year's World Cup; I also want to specially thank my family and friends;" (this is where he gets choked up, and he mentions his wife, though I'm not sure in what context); "Thank you and goodbye."
