1997: Newcastle vs Barcelona where they won 3:2

That was fucking ridiculous... I was at an oasis gig that night, and liam came on in a newcastle shirt and told everyone that newcastle were beating barcelona. No one believed him.

liverpool-chelsea last year, in the cl quarters. i'm still not sure what the actual score was. lol.

i love it because before that i was feeling kind of sad about fandom and football and then it happened and i was like, OMG WTF I LOVE FOOTBALL SO ~BEAUTIFUL~ lol. and everyone was so sweet and huggly with each other (i think) so i couldn't begrudge chelsea their win. it was amazing.

I wasn't alive for most of these, but I'm so fucking proud that United v City 09/10 is 62nd.

#24 is such an important game in my club's history, in English football's history, I wish I had been around then.

My personal number 1 would be United v Bayern Munich 1999, but the game itself was pretty boring until the last few minutes. But what an ending! I was eight years old and I remember it so clearly. My mum was so upset she went to mop the kitchen floor and then THAT GOAL happened and then THAT OTHER GOAL happened and there was jumping and screaming and mum broke our sofa. I think that was the game that got me addicted to football. Like, that rush was a drug and I've constantly needed more. I've watched that game loads of times since and got really emotional every time. So yeah, for that reason alone it's my number 1.

I didn't pay attention to football then but I remember hearing about it a few years later and just thinking "....what?!?!"
Like even if you were to write a script like that it would be too unbelievable
