Women in Comics: DC vs Marvel, The Bechdel Test

I'm a comics journalist, and normally my writing focuses on women creators in comics and the portrayal of women characters. But the Bechdel Test is so famous, and so equally derided by a lot of the general readership, that I figured it was worth a go to Bechdel Test ALL THE THINGS.

Interesting. I wonder what the result would be if you graphed pass rates for male authors against female authors.

I'd definitely be up for doing that across some of the indie titles... sadly DC and Marvel don't actually have enough women writers to provide much data :/

Very interesting. My personal pulls are Batgirl and Birds of Prey, and I just started reading Ultimate Spiderman along with my SO's pull of Worlds Finest...so my reading is a bit Bechdel biased :-)
