To me it seems like men have been part of this discussion for as long as it has existed, at times way more than women have.

Men sharing responsibility for family planning is a good thing, as long as it does not become an excuse for controlling how we breed.

Men already have a huge influence over the amount of children a woman will bear, and not always in the "oops" way, but in a very deliberate way. I think extending this education and availability will have the adverse effect.

Sexual health and the discussion of reproductive planning is super important for everyone, and I think this type of outreach is a very good thing, especially in areas where resources aren't always readily available. Even though its just information, hell, knowledge can be powerful.

I don't think that men always appreciate the seriousness of pregnancy and childbirth, or what a woman goes through. Any discussion which highlights the risks involved, and ways to take preventative measures, is beneficial for all. If it gets a guy to really think about it, and understand that his contribution to prevention is essential is a very good thing, especially if he takes it seriously.
