I'm so happy they repealed it. It's about time really. So archaic. It took the sting out of the 9/11 First Responders bill not passing.

I think the federal law has passed, but now the UCMJ will have to be revised to fall into line.

(someone who knows more details than I, feel free to correct me.)

it'll take a while before it actually goes into effect + even when it does, there'll still be homophobia that'll keeps queers closeted
