Iranian woman who faced death by stoning 'will be hanged tomorrow'

An Iranian woman who faced being stoned to death will hang tomorrow, a human rights group has claimed.

The International Committee Against Stoning said that  the authorities had given the go-ahead for the execution of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani.

Hanging is a much faster and much less painful death than stoning, in most cases. The execution is still horrible, but this method is likely to be somewhat less distressing.

Well, yes. But if they're going to do it anyways, this is at least a slightly more humane way of putting a woman to death for having sex.

IIRC, this all happened because of an adultery accusation that is only validated through testimony and no evidence.

HOW IS THIS ANY GROUNDS TO EXECUTE SOMEONE SKDFHALDHF

My country has just joined the EU in a plea for her release. Probably useless but still... this entire story makes me so sick and disgusted
