One of my favorite DS9 episodes is "Trials and Tribble-ations". While looking for clips of the episode to giggle at on Youtube the other night I found this behind the scenes special that aired on the Sci-fi channel that I really enjoyed watching. Fun interviews with the cast and crew, it gave me a few good laughs so I thought I would share it with ( Read more... )

Thanks for posting this! One of my all time favorite episodes!

I'll have to watch it tomorrow, sadly. Gives me something to look forward to after work though!

This was actually really cool, seeing all the work and effort that had to go into that episode. I mean, I know it's pretty impressive anyway, from a technological standpoint, but the dedication to getting the model exactly right, the makeup exactly right...it's just really cool to see all the work that goes into it.

ALSO, DE LOOKS FABULOUS AS ALWAYS. AND THAT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I'VE HEARD JAMES DOOHAN SANS FAKE SCOTTISH ACCENT AND WHOA, WAS THAT A WEIRD EXPERIENCE.

ALSO, SURPRISE!JFRAKES I SEE U THAR IN THAT LAST VIDEO.

It's so good to see the love and care it was all handled with!!! It shows the respect that the crew and the actors have not only for the franchise itself but also for the fans that love it!!

IT IS SPECIALS LIKE THIS THAT HELP REMIND ME WHY I LOVE STAR TREK SO MUCH AND HOW SPECIAL EVERYONE THAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE MAKING OF IT IS ;)

Way cool! Thanks for posting, bb! It made me smile. :) I especially liked the bits with Sid - he seemed so enthusiatic about being on the original Enterprise with the old hairstyles and uniforms and equipment and everything. And WALTER KOENIG TEACHING THEM HOW TO FLIP OPEN A COMMUNICATOR, how freaking awesome is that?!? And Armin and the makeup lady cracked me up. :D

OMG I LOVED THE PART WHERE SID WAS TALKING ABOUT HIS HAIR STYLE IN THE EPISODE AND THEN WAS LIKE "AND I WORE MY HAIR LIKE THAT WHEN I WENT OUT BECAUSE I THINK IT MADE ME LOOK OLDER."

AND HIS GRIN!

*DIES*

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS!!!

That was lovely! Thank you!
I've been kicking myself mildly today, because this morning when I woke up, for some reason I thought 'Hey, do I still have that one comic?' At about the same time 'Trials and Tribble-ations' was first suggested, there was another suggestion for an anniversary, revisit-TOS episode, going back to the planet from 'A Piece of the Action' where now everything is run in imitation of Starfleet. This wasn't used for an episode, because they thought it might seem like mocking Trekkies, but it did get turned into an issue of the Star Trek: the Next Generation comic book, and I HAD it, and I went right through the pile of comics on the bottom right-hand bookshelf, TWICE, and I DON'T have it any more.

If you want Animaniacs or Magical Drama Queen Roxy I'm your girl, but what the hell? WHAT DID I DO WITH MY STAR TREK COMIC?
I was going to scan it and share, because it's so weird.

ETA: I do, however, still have the Mad magazine special issue that was put out at the time of Generations, which my awesome fifth-form ( ... )

You are very welcome I am glad you enjoyed! :D

That comic sounds kind of amazing 0.0!!

But yes I have many moments like this myself where I KNOW I owned something and I simply can no longer find it and I don't remember doing anything with it. :/ Most of the time I find said item in some odd spot at a later date, so hopefully you will do the same!!

Also this Mad magazine sounds funny?? Is it as amusing as I am picturing it to be?? And your teacher sound awesome!!

I can't imagine that I would have thrown it out if I didn't, at the same time, throw out my Jay and Silent Bob comics. I definitely want those less.
Some of the stuff in the Mad special is good, particularly a Sergio Aragones parody of TOS. I should do some scans when I get home from work.

If you feel like doing so that would be AWESOME!

I love the humor in Mad.
