Ready for some laughs?

This week win a double pass to the Kingston This Week and Alliance Films Kingston première of Gunless, starring Paul Gross, Thursday, April 29, 7 p.m., at the Gardiners Road Cineplex.

When notorious American gunslinger, The Montana Kid, staggers into the tiny Canadian hamlet of Barclay's Brush, life for the town's 29 inhabitants is about to get exciting.

The Kid immediately gets into an unfortunate altercation with Jack, the town's surly blacksmith, which leads to the The Kid 'calling him out' for some good old frontier justice - a showdown. But in a place totally ill prepared to deal with a classic gun fight and without a single working pistol to be found, adhering to the code of the American Wild West may prove difficult.

Gunless is a Canadian comedy that pokes fun at the American Wild West, the Hollywood Western genre, and most importantly, the Canadian stereotype of a people who are passive, polite, and affable to an annoying fault.

Paul Gross stars in the lead role of The Montana Kid and Sienna Guillory his feisty and unlikely love interest. Joining Gross and Guillory in the movie are Tyler Mane as Jack the enigmatic blacksmith, Dustin Milligan as Corporal Jonathan Kent, a zealous junior North West Mounted Police officer, and Callum Keith Rennie plays Ben Cutler, a ruthless posse leader hunting down The Montana Kid.

Deadline for entries is Monday, April 26.
