Long story short, Maria Salas called him Señor Bale in an interview about Rescue Dawn, and ever since there's been this trend where we all (read: almost the entire world) started calling him that. Then someone photoshopped this picture with Christian throwing a taco. Then, the great deluge of Taco Bale pictures commenced.

The rest, as they say, is history.
