shit, i can't remember where i read it, but this girl wrote about her audition experience and mentioning that she had to wait in line for a shitload of hours and people were getting restless, lots of fights broke out and going to the bathroom was impossible b/c of the long lines, more fights would break out b/c of it... i wish i could remember where i read it, she had some crazy things to say.
Auditioning in LA of all places would be extremely competitive so don't be hard on yourself. Thanks for sharing the details. It makes the whole thing more interesting.
I've heard so many people with stories like yours and it makes me REALLY hate AI/the way they do the auditions. They make it seem so easy and 1-2-3 smooth on tv and it sucks that it's not that way at all.
Good for you for going!! Sorry that it kinda sucked. :(
I was gonna go with a friend just as moral support and out of curiosity (I cannot sing at all) but she ended up getting really sick this weekend and couldn't go. I guess she didn't really miss that much of an opportunity, although she knew about the tables thing.
It makes business sense, cause there are SO many people auditioning, but it's basically treating people like a commodity: they want x number of rock singers, etc, and getting those amounts is all that matters.
