- He is so sure of who he is musically, and has worked hard to continually improve.

- He is someone who has paid his dues in the industry, playing in small venues.

- His music exudes a quiet confidence. "You might not like this... but I do."

- The fact that he has struggled with college/the real world is endearing, a very human quality that I think a lot of people identify with.

- He leads by example. He doesn't preach, he doesn't judge, he just tries to be the best person he can and hopes that inspires other people to do the same. And it does.

his musicality is off the charts, the way he arranges songs, his chord choices, his phrasing, just the way he interprets music in general. Oh and the fact that he plays multiple instruments.

DOES THIS COMMENT HAVE CHARACTER LIMITS? OMFG. OMFG. OMFG. CAUSE HE'S PERFECT AND REAL AND I CONNECT WITH HIM -- I RELATE TO HIS HATRED OF COLLEGE AND LOVE OF FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF -- AND HE'S SO FUCKING TALENT IT PAINS ME.

Also this (warning: TL;DR)
You didn't pander. Not to the Christians, even though you were a worship leader who did missionary work overseas; you insisted, awesomely, that religion shouldn't matter in a music competition. Not to the fag-haters; you sported black nail polish on your thumb as a show of solidarity for your gay friend and co-finalist, and spoke out for acceptance on his behalf (man, I wish you and Adam could do GLAAD PSAs together). Not to the many, many people who thought you were a hot piece of ass; you were not Ace Young or Constantine or Haley Scarnato or Katharine McPhee, who would milk it for all its worth, wearing suggestive outfits and eyefucking the camera until it begged them to stop. You didn't hide the fact that you were married, to a blonde homecoming queen as adorable and wee as you are. You refused to be the hot guy who could sing, you were the musician who happened to be attractive. No, you didn't pander, you didn't want votes for any reason other than your music.Reply

VIOLA. NUFF SAID.

But to really stan him I need video evidence.

(Also: feet in sneakers, forearms carrying guitars, total lack of a poker face, straight boi hugging of the glambert with no holding back, humility, and how to look hot without even trying.)

Everyone already mentioned all my other reasons, so I'll just say this. He helped me be more open-minded towards people who identify as Christian.

He's so passionate about his music, and is always wanting to improve.
He's laid-back and chill, and doesn't worry too much if things are going wrong.
He's just so humble - always giving credit to everybody else instead of himself.
He really ~knows his stuff~ about music
He's super talented, but you already knew that.
He's an open-minded Christian, and isn't afraid of being affectionate with other guys.

Oh, and he likes Boy Meets World and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I don't think that needs any more explanation.
